It was winter season on February when I flew to Hong Kong for portrait session and what me happy is I have a beautiful night and meet with my recent couple who brought me to Maldives few months ago.
Dear lovely couple no matter where you are here in this blog I’m gonna share my own story behind the photography job.
For over than a decades I develop a boutique photography services where I serve photo session in more personal than it make my relationship among me and couple is beyond the professionalism, we just become a FRIEND!
There are Billy and Dickie Ma, a nice couple from Hong Kong who visiting my blog. Just couple months ago they came to me and sending me an email related to their plan for having a pre wedding shooting in Maldives. Lately we stay in Lux* South Ari Atoll and spending 6 hours for creating lovely photos for their own.
What I proud to Billy is he realize his and Dickie Ma’s 10 years dream for having a pre wedding session in Maldives lately I know that they have very cute daughter right now and looks so happy.
I catch my flight from my hometown in Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur and spend a night there till I continue with my flight to Hong Kong at 7 am. KLIA 2 is growin’ up and getting awesome and once you are here just go to lower ground and you will find ‘Rest and Go’ area where containing massage chair cost for RM5 for 5 minutes.
It’s 11 am and I touch down Hong Kong,
Hong Kong airport is huge even I still need to move from arrival hall to luggage conveyor with a skytrain but gladly I bring my cabin flight backpack so I don’t need to queue on the line and just go to the food court and order my lunch.
This hainan chicken rice and rice and beef curry is highly recommended, it’s compliment with fresh juice and cost less than HKD20 per set portion, will definitely comeback to this food court and enjoying the same meal.
On my past trip to Hong Kong I go to the city by Airport Express and MTR but now I’m gonna go to East Tsim Sha Tsui by bus which is way better cause we could see the downtown right from the bus window. I got the bus and ride it for 40 minutes till it stops at Chunking Mansion where my hostel located, it’s nice and clean but still in small size room just like other typical Hong Kong hostel.
During this photo session I’m gonna stay in Four Season Hong Kong which is the same hotel with my client and it’s a great 5 star hotel that close to the harbor. If you stay here than you can see the harbor view right from your room, it was incredible and it connected to the mall where you can do shopping or get some delicious Japanese ramen like what I did.
But before we meet our client today I wanna ask my wife to spend few nights in local hostel where we can ee the Cantonese and get street food that represent Hong Kong in a better way.
Enjoying my trip today and spend nights in a local budget hostel like Marrigold is good, we can meet the locals and enjoying the real Cantonese ambiance here. Another great things about staying around this place is the East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is just 50 meter from the building and you can go to Avenue of Star and see the beauty of Symphony of Lights by walking distance.
Beautiful Night in Nathan Rd Hong Kong
Beautiful night is coming and I pick my fleece jacket and wait for Dickie who gonna pick us up to go to private kitchen which belong to our dining spots. She said that it becomes familiar in Hong Kong to serve dinner in a private kitchen where the chef will provide us with 10 different meals.
Dickie is coming and we were so happy to meet our gorgeous bride, she looks so casual with a nice jacket and jeans driving his Audi A5 Coupe. We pick up Billy in front of his office and we drove the car to some authentic place that we never seen before.
This place was incredible look so tiny from outside but it’s huge enough inside, I’m thankful cause Billy and Dickie serve us with the most authentic food of Hong Kong that we never eat before. We start with fish soup, beaf steak with Cantonese herbs and some other delicious dish.

Sightseeing Hong Kong during winter season is great cause I’ve been here during summer and it was hot. Make sure you drinks a lot of water cause here you don’t feel sweat at all. Average temperature during winter will be 15 degree celcius during the day and it can be 10 degree or lower during the night.
God made my day before tomorrow I shooting for my socialite portrait session for over than 10 hours, all gears are ready to pack and I got my beautiful wife standing next to me and assist me for whole day.
