Before I do a photo session for wedding, pre wedding, or any portraits I used to meet my client directly and indirectly. It helps me and the client know each other, I feel happy to know their hobby, their passion of life, their expectation for me, and even the country where they want to visit for honeymoon. And for me this is the best time to share what I will do to make them perfect in their photographs.
With this meeting I always show how me and my team do our job, pre production, the production, and for sure the post production, and we want to make sure that our client know every single details about our job. I will not let them pay me a thousand dollar without they don’t know exactly what I did to respect their investment of photographs, and this is the way how we love our client.
When the digitalize era has coming, many people think that we can do all photography step easily and I say yes but, I never forget my basic step to make great picture gone. My post production steps are consist of 3 (three) big steps:
- Take the raw file and secure it all on my hard disk and I copied it all to another back up hard disk. Than I choose which the best pictures of my client and delete of my test shots, blur shots, or any failure
- Second step is I will retouch all chosen photographs to check the white balance, exposure, and the detail. And start from here I will send those photographs to my client as a client proofing
- After my client see all their pictures, I will back to my iMac to finished all of the pictures and I make sure this gonna be the last step I did to make stunning photographs which will set on album. I will give you some example of how we work by seeing our step by step pictures below.
