Having a portrait of a lady is one great chance that I had in my photographer’s life, hello my name is Bima and thank you for visiting my blog. Today I’m gonna share my recent projects of capturing daytime moments of a lady called Aling. This is my second time for visiting Hong Kong and I truly loved for what I’m have right now, it’s a winter holiday! I flew on February and got really nice weather during all the session who took over than 10 hours.
First time I met Aling was in 2012 when she invite me to come to Karma Kandara for friends portrait photography session, actually it was an outstanding resort that you should consider in Uluwatu Bali. Few months ago a whatsapp chat was coming to my phone and lately I know that this is Aling.
The main plan for this session is a portrait of a lady, so during this beautiful winter season Aling plan to go to Hong Kong with other 3 ladies for vacation and she need my help to capturing their holiday moments while sightseeing the downtown. I landed in Hong Kong International Airport 2 days before the photo shoot cause I got an invitation from my couple who lived here to get dinner in a private kitchen style around North Point. It was pleasant to meet again with Billy and Dickie Ma who brought me Maldives for pre wedding photography session.
Portrait of a Lady Preparation
Here in the portrait of a lady session, Aling will bring several nice wardrobe such as red lambskin leather jacket, neckpiece, hat, and some other accessories. I just remember that she change her clothes for 3 – 4 times on that day and thank you so much for my gorgeous make up artist Celine and our helpful driver, Simon, who drove her Vellfire for us so great to sightseeing around Hong Kong.
I woke up early at 6 am, get some little breakfast and go to Aling’s hotels in Four Season Hong Kong, it was nice morning that I had near by the Central Pier of Hong Kong. A night before she told me that she expecting and always dreaming to have a personal portrait in location that really represent of Hong Kong. What I’m suggested to her is visiting Chun Yeung Street (Wet Market) in North Point for the first location, this place was so great and there are so many locals bought some fruits, vegie, or meats here in the market. What make this area so great is there a tram railway across this street so every 15 minutes we gonna see the tram passing by among of us.
Once we’re done in this market than Simon took us to Wong Tai Sin Temple, Causeway Bay, and the magical place Avenue of Stars. Totally it’s been over than 10 awesome hours between me, Nina, our make up artist Celine, Aling and her 3 other friends. We did a nice portrait of a lady photo session during this winter and I’ll be back someday in a winter too cause weather was so nice to sightseeing around the city rather than in summer just like what I had several years ago.

Best Time To Go
Winter or spring will be the best if you want to sightseeing around Hong Kong cause here you will get a nice ambiance and weather for whole day. In some case you will see misty cloudy just like Aling’s picture above in the harbor but that was great too. By visiting on winter or spring you definitely must have nice wardrobe and accessories that will make you gorgeous and eye catchy, some jackets, hats, glove, or next piece will matter on this session
