Angsana Velavaru Resort is one great place that I found on my list during my past pre wedding photo shoot in Maldives. First of all I would like to say thank you so much for my couple who invite my to fly thousand miles to this resort and belong to their eye witness of special proposal moment during sunset time facing the wonderful Indian Ocean.
By the way I’m Bima and thank you so much for visiting my page, here I would like to share some wonderful story when I went to Maldives for pre wedding session back on last October. If you are a couple who dreamin’ for having a wedding in Maldives than I could tell you that you guys doing a great thing. Maldives is such wonderful place to stopping by and enjoying your night under the beautiful sky, forget your routine and get fun with someone who you loved in such crystal clear sea water.

How to go to Angsana Velavaru Resort
Angsana Velavaru Resort is one great place to escape that located about 45 minutes joyful seaplane ride from the Velana International Airport. Once you landed in this airport than you just need to confirm your arrival in Maldives in Angsana’s counter that located in outside of airport terminal building. After that the staff will accompany you to go to Angsana’s private lounge to get some cold welcome drink (I got an orange juice) and waiting for little while till your seaplane is ready.
Flying with double propeller seaplane is challenging, first of all you will go the place which is floating on the water in the harbor and it looks like go into the speedboat. Once the engine start up and the propeller on, all the noise sound will be surrounding but it is totally amazing experience.
Within 45 minutes you will landed in the sea just nearby the Velavaru Island or called also as Turtle Island. Resort staff will welcoming you with a welcome drink while they proceed your check in than after all you can just starting to enjoy for whole resort. Staying in a beach front room definitely cheaper but when you stay in the water villa than you will go for 10 minutes speedboat ride to the artificial island with tons of beautiful scenery for whole day.

This amazing resort got several great restaurant where you can chill out with your family and friends and order some pizza from the most outstanding chef in the resort. If I could suggest you than go take a dinner in a restaurant which is located in the water villa room, the restaurant will placed on the wooden deck about 2 meter above the sea level. Here you can see the nemo fish, turtle, or even baby shark.
Don’t miss the sunset cause this is all you waiting for, sunset was insane! you will see the orange, red, and blue color mix together into the sky and that’s why I miss Angsana Velavaru Resort so bad! Down here I’m gonna share to you some photos of the resort that I took with my tiny camera.

Time goes fly cause I did pre wedding session for the most gorgeous Singaporean couple till I know that it is almost 5.30 pm than we choose to settle down, go the restaurant for dinner and relax. Here below are some photos that I got after the sunset

How to book Angsana Velavaru Resort
Several platform and website are able to proceed your booking but I highly suggest you to use booking.com cause they were so simple and come with outstanding feature and facilities such as pay later or free cancellation, it is really helpful in some case you want to extend or change into another resort.
Once you complete your booking you should remind that you still need a hotel transfer by using seaplane, Angsana used to offer late payment for the seaplane cause here I pay the seaplane after I do check out and this is very simple.
My simple word about Angsana Velavaru Resort
Having your stay in Angsana is truly great choice that you able make, for me, this resort speak a thousand words from their hospitality and magnificent scenery. I really miss Angsana and highly recommend you to stay there no matter for short holiday or celebrating your destination wedding.

Pre Wedding Photo Shoot in Angsana Velavaru Resort
I’ve been so honor to get a chance for having pre wedding photo shoot in Angsana back few years ago, I’m so excited to explore this magnificent place and sightseeing around their Turtle Island and water villa area. Having both sunset and sunrise in Angsana is two good thing that you definitely have to do, don’t be so rush enjoying couple of days here is truly worth it.
Back on that day I serve a lovely and gorgeous Singaporean couple who visiting my photography blog, we had a nice and short meeting in Jurong just before I fly to Maldives for my other pre wedding session.
