My name is Bima dear friend and I’m a photographer and founder of this blog. Yes sure I’m a wedding photographer and not a personal trainer or any other gym expert but I want you to listen to my story.
I work in this photography industry since 2009 and hell yeah I’m still running this business together with my beautiful and lovely wife named Nina. As a photographer and person who get involve in this business I could tell you that NOT SO MANY person here in my industry concern about their own health. Here I shoot wedding, get party with my couple, eat a lot, get BBW dinner and so on and so far but trust me that I got my mom passed away because of diabetic back in 2011. I’m 34 years old by the way now and I want to keep my health as good as I can and share good things through my own challenge of get a work out at the gym for a year.
By the way I’m 98,5 kg right now and stumble upon with my couple, shooting in Maldives or Bali take me into glorious day with tons of tasty and delicious food for sure. Anyway by taking 3 to 4 times work out at the nearest gym from my house and reduce all the carbohydrate and sugar than I can make my weight into 96 kg within 2 months.
3 Reasons Why I Finally Choose to Go to the Gym After a Year Without Doing Any Sports
No body want to do any sports, that’s the fact! But EVERYBODY want to be healthy and get longer life.
Doesn’t make sense at all right? but if you want to get a joyful life than you must take a challenge for your self. Having a sports or workout is like investing your life in a better way, I know it’s hard even I really that this ain’t easy but can you imagine if 50 years from now than you can attending your grand child wedding party in Bali or traveling around the globe with your wife?
I did badminton together with my wife and some friends back in 2016 and at the rest of time our group is broke cause too many member get stuck with their office job. A year without doing any sports I do my own exercise, it’s really simple cause all I did is just walking once to two times a week for 3 km from my house to my airbnb property and coffee shop. Till I know that I’m not discipline enough to do this sport lonely and finally got my old friend called Khrisna who become my personal trainer in a gym that only take 10 minutes by scooter from my house.
Let me tell you 3 main reasons that bring me back into work out at the gym:
1 – Live Longer with My Wife and Kids and Travel Around the Globe
I’m a religious moslem person, through this faith I know that I don’t have any control for my age but I definitely have a full control of my health. I believe that if I can take care a body that God gave to me than he will give me longer live that I can spend with my wife and kids for the next decades.
I love traveling with family so we always got an annually plan to sightseeing around the world like what we did back in past few months to go to Singapore while I’m also shooting for my Shutterstock.
If you read my previous article about why I learn to fly, than I have a dream to own a plane someday, it could be Cirrus SF50 jet or even 6 seater of Beechcraft. Through this plane I want to fly around the globe together with my wife and enjoying what God’s made in this universe.
By keep my body healthy I want to have a chance to travel around the world with my wife, I know it needs determination and just like The Rock said that I must be the hardest worker in the room both for health and business.
2 – I Want to Stay Healthy Just Like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone When I’m Over Than 70 Y.O
I’m a big fans of The Expandable cinema series so I watched from the first till the third, what I’m surprise is I saw to big men who are over than 70 years old now.
If you stumble upon on Arnold’s Instagram than you gonna see that this humble grand pa is still rock and tell us how to work out at the gym and make our own protein shake at home. Few of my family are passed away when they are 63 but this guy is over than 70 years old and still making his own movie, you bet to check Arnold’s Instagram below!
3 – I Want to Keep Shooting Wedding
I’m shooting wedding since 2009 and still love this job till now, it’s way over than just money cause I know that money is only thing that come and go but if you see me shooting than I just like a kid with a lego on his hand love to play it all day long. When Nina gave me shooting schedule than I always happy, I can traveling and meet the most gorgeous couple on earth during their big day and truly it was honour for me and this entire life.
Even I start to run another business like Airbnb and Coffee Shop for my future investment but I love shooting wedding way more than others and don’t think to stop it for the next more decades
How to Work Out at the Gym – 4 Times Training Schedule
I know that some of friends go to the gym every day but I only challenge my self to go to the gym 4 times in a week and take only 60 minutes each. BY browse from any information like youtube and blog now I got my own workout schedule that really fit to me, let me share for you all below:
1 – Back Exercise
I started my day one with back exercise so I have several exercise like:
- Seated cable row
- Lat pulldown
- Deadlift, and
- Single arm dumbbell row
- NOTE – I will combine this day with exercise for my biceps
2 – Chest Exercise
For the second day I will do chest exercise with several variety that you can try such as:
- Bench press
- Butterfly machine
- Incline dumbbell press, and
- Barbell bench press
- NOTE – I will combine this second day with exercise for my triceps
After this second day than I will off for up to 2 days for maximum!
3 – Shoulder Exercise
The third day that you can bet is for your shoulder, here you can do:
- Military press
- Overhead press
- Seated dumbbell military press, and surely the
- Arnold press
4 – Leg Exercise
This exercise is a must for any sports that you do no matter you doing football, basket ball, or runner. Please remind that this exercise will hurt your tight so well but once again it’s a must.
- Squad
- Leg press, and
- Lying leg curls
Than I will off again for a day and repeat this exercise from the first.
