I would like to say thank you to Mesastila Resort in Magelang for being the greatest gift ever to my mom before she passed away. It was the 63 years old anniversary journey for my mom that I can gave several years ago. Following my journey in staying in the Lokha Resort Bali, I could say that staying in this resort for couple nights is amazing, nice view, good surrounding, delicious food, and also friendly staff. Go to this resort from Yogyakarta is very easy so when you want to go in better for you to landed in Adicusipto International Airport in Yogyakarta than rent a car or using their own airport transfer. Go to Mesastila Resort will took around 1,5 hours from the Yogyakarta City Center and the way to go there is so great cause you will see the mountain, padi field, coffee plantation, and tea plantation surrounding.

Don’t be so fast following you past the Magelang city and be slow to enjoy the scenery, even more you still couple of kilometer away from this resort. You may see the signage of Mesastila, actually it also called Losari Coffee Plantation few years ago before they renew the management system. You will pass a small village road and reach to the resort within 5 minutes. There are big parking lot before you see the old train station building made from wood that belong to the receptionist, quite fun right, even you can see the small window where people buy the train ticket hundreds years ago through this building. After complete your arrival form you can see the cute girl wearing the traditional wardrobe called “Kemben” welcoming you as well to go to the main area where your room located.

This resort area was so green, tons of tropical trees are already here since few years ago and there is a pedestrian made by river stone. Rolling down your luggage in this path is a bit difficult so better to pick them up or ordering the buggy to take you to your resort gate. I always ordering this buggy during my stay cause my mom got a pain on her knees so bit hurt to walk around.
If they don’t change the complimentary facilities yet, you can join the free coffee plantation tour every morning and drink the original black coffee from its plantation, actually almost all vegie that you eat in this restaurant are self plant by the resort, amazing!! There are also few restaurants that you can consider for having lunch and dinner. Room was so big and made by old wood house, there is a big cozy bed inside and also a traditional bathtub with a coffee bean placed near by the door. Every unit will have their own terrace, which is consist of 2 bench where you can lay-down and enjoying the view of the mountain and plantation.
Try it!, it is totally amazing and able to give you a healthy mind during stay here. This place is so quite and traditional looks so you can feel how to stay in a traditional way covering with perfect hospitality. Try to compare the rate and I still satisfy with the Agoda cause often gives me the best rate for every room that I booked. I’ll be back to you in the next hotel review and hope you enjoy with my experience. Thanks Mesastila…and thanks Mom for being the greatest mom in the world.
