I was starting my photographer career in 2008 but I just start blogging at 2010, it was hard but now I know that this kind of activities (that I never think before) is able to give me better life together with my wife and 4 kids.

I believe that every business is have their own process and share or document the process is one great things to share cause it let everyone know what you did before.
It’s not about sharing your products secrets even you always can keep this on your mind, but this gonna share about things that your future client must know such as your product details, materials, product satisfaction item and more.
To get clear of it than I want to let you know that I’m a BMW maniac and I ever get the 3 series on my garage. So after I sold that car and save more money to buy the 5 series than I always stumbled upon some blogs that related to 5 series maintenance, spare part, and some accessories that I could plug on my future BMW car. Now I know that there is custom made garage who able to provide me great 5 series body kit.
I never know that there is an Ikon Motorsport company before, but by read some blogs and browsing than I know this such cool company who able to provide me any kind of my future BMW accessories…..so this is how blogging will able to branding your self or company.

Most of people want to start actualize their self no matter using a social media like facebook, instagram, or youtube and using a blog is one great way to show your self to the world.
When I got my second chance of shooting a Singaporean couple for an engagement session, one thing that they love about me at the first time is not my works, I got a deal is because my couple know that I working together with my wife, Nina, who belong to my make up artist and hair do stylist. For them, this gonna be such good cooperation if they work with a husband-wife photographer team.
I will tell you that on my destination wedding photography business, I stay here in Indonesia and serve worldwide couple than shoot in other destinations. So when I went to Maldives for photo shoot, I’m an Indonesian, my couple is a Singaporean who leave in Singapore and we shoot an engagement session in Maldives, so it’s like a cross country business deal at all.
On this case, than TRUST BECOME MATTER, cause my couple must pay the deposit of 50% and pay the balance 30 days before the photo shoot. What we talk here is about thousand of dollars photography collection so for someone who never meet before and pay thousand of dollars is really tricky but by using a blog and my future couple read it as well than they don’t have any problem to pay me even we live in different countries.

When I run my business in a studio back in 2012 I spend few costs such as:
- Small office rental for $1100/year
- Renovation costfor $1700
- Electricity, internet and water supply for $30/month — $360/year
- 1 staff salary for $120/month — $1440
- TOTAL $4600 cost per year; and I still have to pay my own house expenses
Lets comparing with,
RUNNING MY BUSINESS AT HOME
- Domain and web hosting on Bluehost for $80/year
- No renovation
- No staff, I promote my services by self blogging
- Electricity, internet and water supply for $80/month — $960/year
- TOTAL $1040 cost per year; but I still able to earn money by renting my free room on Airbnb
From this simple calculation you can see that I save 75% operational studio cost if I run my business at home. For me, the best decision of running a business is by cut your expenses cause no matter how much money that you will get than it means more profit that you will earn.
3 Blogging for Beginners Tips That You Must Know
As a person that already live as an online based wedding photographer than I could tell that blogging is ain’t that easy. If you want to get big money in a short night than this is the worse decision that you can take but if you want a better living, earn money while you stay close to your family than this could be the best decision ever.
For this blogging for beginners tips I want to share 3 things that you should know to regularly blogging:
1 – Forget the Money and Do What You Love
If you start something than always think about the money than it should be hard but if you start something cause you love what you do than this gonna be so easy even you will face some problems. I know that you do blogging to earn money or get your passive income, but try to being focus on what you love and do every thing that you think that gonna be important.
I love photography so much and want to get best life through it, specifically I love wedding photography and I’m a full throttle when picking up my Nikon D810 and capturing wedding ceremony in such beautiful venue like what I did in Conrad Bali for this such beautiful Germany – Philippines couple.
So I start to share my photos on this blog and at the same time I could share some best wedding venue in Bali that every bride must consider to celebrate their romantic wedding. Now you know that from only 1 single couple than I could share over than one information through it and this is what I did for the past 9 years in blogging life.
2 – Start Now
When you start blogging using the Bluehost, than you can start share your experience as cheap as less than $9/month (cheaper than your double patties burger) which is mean less than $108/year. You can start browsing about your domain name and register it at the same provider, the Bluehost.
You don’t need to find any expensive wordpress theme cause they provide thousand of free cool themes on the system, so all you need to do is just simply find the most suitable one (don’t waste your time too much on this) than start writing.
