What a great Friday when I could hold ‘the beast’ Z7 Nikon with 24-70mm f4 on my hand from my friend Hary who owned one of the best camera store in Yogyakarta known as Gudang Digital. The best thing of all is he just bought this camera personally for him and try everything that Nikon put in this insane camera till in the next few hours after he posted his unboxing scene on Instagram and I sent him a text on whatsapp that I really want to try it for my own.
It was so hot this afternoon till I got few traffic jam on the way to Hary’s store but his store and cafe will always bring a humble ambiance that every photographer really need and one thing that make me so exciting is the day where I could try the next ‘beast’ that I will use on my next wedding session in Hallstatt Austria.
Dear photographer friend my name is Bima and thank you for stumble upon my blog because today I was so excited to send you my first opinion about Z7 Nikon with 24-70mm f4 that belong to my dream camera. By the way I just bought my first 35 mm film Nikon F80 camera back on 2004 than 2 years following that moment my mom bought me my first DSLR Canon 400D till I continue to use another series of Canon with 7D and 5D Mark II for my personal photo session.
My First Impression to Use Nikon System After 5 Years Get in Touch with the Incredible Canon
Generally I get a great experiences and moment with Canon till in 2014 I have a pre wedding session in Jakarta and I just want to try another system for this pre wedding. Some of my friend also told me than I’m crazy because I never had Nikon DSLR before and just shooting for the real project by using it. On that day I just rent the Nikon D800, 50mm f1.4 lens, and surely the 14-24mm f2.8 Nano lens and starting that day I just falling in love with Nikon system just like when I met my beautiful girl friend who now belong to my wife back in 2005.

My love moment with Nikon doesn’t stop on Joanna and Angga’s session only but in the next year I got also a pre wedding and wedding from other humble couple that also blown my mind named Kaisar and Marcia. If a year before I use a full frame sensor in Nikon D800 than today I want to try another lower specification of Nikon known as Nikon D7100 which is come smaller and so cute on my cubby hand.
Some people said that D7100 is just an entry level Nikon camera that use for beginner only but personally I could say that,
I Don’t Really Care About Those Opinion in Advance!
All I want is to try how good the Nikon system is during nowadays competition with all other high-end and amazing camera brand till my pre wedding scene is coming and I took this tiny D7100 into the session. One awesome day is coming because I got super humble couple that I personally serve both as best friend and client.

A few month later I just flew to Jakarta to catch them on the wedding day that located in one of the great hotel known as Grand Hyatt with their nice ballroom called OnFive, just make sure you stay there when you got a wedding session because the room and food on this hotel were gourmet and tasty. I personally suggest you to book Hyatt with Agoda because all the system (and surely the pre booking discount) will saving your budget more simply to enjoy another tasty street food all around Jakarta like Ketoprak till Nasi Uduk kebon kacang.
It was so fun to shoot with D7100 because it is small and easy to handle during this session and what I belief is all photography gears are simply a tool for shooting but the most important thing is your imagination so I could say in a short words as,
You definitely MUST KNOW how to dancing with your camera and capturing the moment it self!

It Just Same Why I Bought the BMW for My Car and Today I Just Falling in Love with This Incredible Z7 Nikon with 24-70mm f4, Period!
If you a guy who have a dream to own one single car series and you can’t stop thinking about it day and night than one day ‘the Car will find you’ just like what I had in taking my dream BMW 5 series 528i couple months ago. In other words if you ever read a book called “The Secret” that this is how it’s going to be.
Great camera will find you too no matter where you are as long as you still thinking about capturing moments and creating the most prestigious artworks for your client and surely your self. I personally had a friend who already bought the Nikon Z6 before but when I saw Hary hold the Z7 Nikon with 24-70mm f4 on his hand accompany with Pradit, a nicely humble guy in Gudang Digital, than I could stop thinking about this camera even while work out in the gym at 8 am till I can see this beautiful masterpiece at 2 pm.
When I hold the Z7 Nikon with 24-70mm f4 than it feels like I put my hand on my BMW steering wheel, all the grip are suit on my hand and it feels like I could boost my imagination of capturing moment for the next beautiful couple on earth no matter where I stay. Holding this ‘beast’ together with insane ridiculous 24-70 f4 Z lens than it feels like I got the right way to shoot and doing some test shots on Hary’s cafe called Gudang Kopi, you must try the Anoman Coffee, it’s amazing!

I would give you my honest opinion after trying the Z7 Nikon with 24-70mm f4 for the first impression based on my expertise as a wedding photographer
- Since I shoot only with view finder during the wedding than I could say that, the view finder was really good and deliver great information for point focus and all the shooting specification
- Focus is so fast and definitely this is the most important thing that I really need in wedding session
- It’s light! especially if I compare while holding the previous Nikon D800, or in other words than it may similar with holding the Nikon D7100, simple!
- Grip was really comfort in my cubby hand, and
- As a Nikon style, all the rubber works so great to avoid slippery
