I never wonder that having a chicken pox disease in my entire life, and the worst thing about is I got this painful disease when I shooting for destination pre wedding session. It was really hard when I’ve got my 2nd chance to Maldives past October for taking a pre wedding shots. My flight brought me and my wife from Yogyakarta to Singapore at 7.45 and landed in Changi around 10 am. Just like what we’ve get used to do, go to terminal 3 and get down for the B2 floor to go to Kopi Tiam food court just to buy a cup of hot milk even on that day we just change our mind to get lunch at 4 Fingers restaurant, it was really delicious food that we’ve got. 9 hours waiting our flight to Sri Lanka was not a really nice experience cause we just move from one cafe to another cafe in Changi and I just starting to feel that there is something wrong in my body. I felt little bit fever and there is something like acne in my head skin, totally I don’t know how it can be happen to me.
9 hours wasting time is goes by and I heard that a notification that my flight, Sri Lankan Airline was standing by at the apron and the officer ask me to go to waiting room and within 20 minutes our flight will ready to go for night fly. Deep inside my heart I’m just so excited that I will go to Sri Lanka for the first time even just for 6 hours transit before continuing our first flight to Male.
I could say that Sri Lankan Airlines was a great company cause they provide us a short FREE night stay in a hotel close to the Bandaranaike International Airport, named Tamarind Tree Hotel. Even you are not flying with Sri Lanka airlines and want to find a hotel really close to the airport you also can book this hotel through agoda.com don’t expect too much but this hotel hospitality was really good, yup they even gave us a late meal for delicious tuna sandwich and fries during our stay, it is really cool!
Woke up at 3.30 am and our driver pick us up at the hotel lobby at 4 than within 15 minutes we just arrived in Bandaranaike to go to Male with our first flight. Actually this gonna be a really nice morning cause the sky is blue on so clear, what a perfect day for photo shoot. 1,5 hours later our flight landed in Ibrahim Nasir International Airport and our resort staff ask us to wait in the Angsanaa Velavaru private lounge for waiting our seaplane.
I’m really grateful that I can stay awake and strong during these Lost in Paradise package which is become my best seller overseas photo shoot within 2 days. I can’t imagine how I can stand up for 7 hours per day, holding my camera, posing my couple, and think creative to get the great result of pre wedding. It was really hard 2 days that I ever have but I’m really thank you to my wife who always support me and also my couple were really amazing and cooperative even they don’t know what is going on with my face and health…..sorry guys but you still rocking on so I got an award through your session too!
Chicken Pox Disease, It’s Really Painful!
I document some picture of my face during the photo shoot, it was really painful but I got no choice cause I have to do the pre wedding session. My couple named Denise and Joel were so great, they were too kind as a couple and we keep contact each other till now.
my face is changing just within 6 hours
all I’ve done is to my couple, it was really hurt with all chicken pox acne in whole my body and get into the water, even more after this session I need to take under water pose, 1000 times more painful

When I finished my photo shoot and want to come back to Male City for 1 night transit and this gonna be my hardest night during the photo shoot. I’ve got fever, full of acne in my whole body, face, and head skin…it is truly bad experience that I ever had during my photography career. I just ask my wife to go to the nearest hospital cause I’m getting worry about my self.
The next word that I would say is real and hope it can be your best information about Maldives travel scam. I went to the hospital which is located about 100 meter from my hotel Lucky Hiya and it was really hard to get up from my bed cause I’ve got hard fever and I saw that it was almost midnight. The hospital officer said that I have to pay a package of price before I met the doctor for MVR1500 (cost around USD150) without know anything what the doctor will do to me and they told me that this price is already include the medicine, twice I’m felt that it confusing, how they can calculate my medicine cost before I go to the doctor!
Within 5 minutes the doctor come in and asking me to get into her office, the doctor said that I’ve got the chicken pox and don’t allow me to fly back to my country cause she expect me to stay in hospital for few days. When I go out and go the drug store to taking my medicine, (once they already tell me that the medicine is include to the price) the officer ask me to pay more MVR500 (cost about USD50) to pay the bills, I just getting angry cause they already told me, but they keep saying if I want to take this medicine I have to pay it all).
Ok fine I don’t have any choice so I pay the bills,
Thanks GOD the medicine was so great and it solved my illness, all the scam information that I want to share to you is just the hospital services cause it seems that they lie to me about the bills that I have to pay….for the rest, the medicine that doctor gave to me was great!
